Re: Zombie skins
Have you not seen these before? I put them on The Carnivores Saga.
What do you mean exactly by dead skins?

Re: Zombie skins
He means they would go fantasticly on a Dinosaur that's been dead an extended period of time, eg if the Drop ship has taken too long... I think that would be easily achievable. We only need to add a timer integer, it goes up by 1 as the corpse lays there, and only if it's a corpse and not a sleeping body.

Re: Zombie skins
I kind of guessed that but more or less wondered how it would be implemented. That is a great idea. If you are going to do that for CCE I could dull the colours a bit to look like it's rotting. We would also need these type of skins for each dino/animal which would take a long time for me to do. Perhaps we could have a community competition to see who can make the best "dead" skin and assign a certain dino/animal to each person.

Re: Zombie skins
I also suggest making them in a tool that can support layers, that way you can make 'procedural' textures that slowly fade to the fully gored and bloody corpse, make at least 3 differnt version of the texture. Partially corpse, half corpse almost full skeleton.

Re: Zombie skins
Sounds like a good idea but full skeletons don't look good at all. I think there should just be 2 skins.
Partial corpse and half corpse. And perhaps one inbetween partial and half corpse. When I have some freetime later I think I will start a corpse skin competition.

Re: Zombie skins
Okay, and I was merely using those as an example to explain what I was thinking of so it's all good.
