Re: Crosshairs
Sorry bout double posting, but i wanted to note that the crosshairs should be used like this:
•the cross one is to be used on precision weapons, like snipers unzoomed
•the PrimalPrey crosshairs for "standard" weapons, eg rifle, laser cannon, etc
•the cirlce one is for shotguns

Re: Crosshairs
I don't mind double posting, as long as it's not senseless which this is not.

Re: Crosshairs
The crosshairs look great! I just need to reinstall C:CE to my computer because one of the files got screwed up. Can't wait to try these out. You did a great job with these.

Re: Crosshairs
I've tested the blue circle out:
Minor issue: the blue is VERY transparent.
Due to the transparency flag being set on the triangle, which is unavoidable of course
Oh well, it still works!

Re: Crosshairs
ADP... how are you drawing the crosshairs? I was thinking we should use a similar method as the Ammunition... if you're not then there's something wrong because logically you should take what you already have in the engine first and try to use it...
I'm working on the .RAW format for custom crosshairs in my copy of the source atm...

Re: Crosshairs
I was using a texture like the bullets, but transparency is NOT supported.
If we want to use the crosshairs in the post, we need to either program support for transparency in textures (what I would like to do) or "work around" the issue by making the crosshairs just another HUD .3df object (like the compass) (Which is what I am currently testing)

Re: Crosshairs
Update: Now I'm using your system: A modified render_cross.
Render_cross now takes 3 params: x,y,sizeDiv
sizeDiv is what the function uses to divide a certain number (keeps the size relative to resolution).
By default, the number is 12 (set the param to 0 or 12).
48+ works pretty good.
I've got an idea if we cant get textures to work:
Reprogram the function to render a custom type of model that is nothing but lines and colors.
Like a plain text file that builds the crosshair and defines the colors.
